Pipelines are very much in the news and the word “dilbit” is brought up as a special concern. Is this true? What is dilbit? We have been given many descriptions of this material and warned of its deleterious effect on our infrastructure and our planet. The talk will explain what dilbit is and how it resembles and differs from crude oil. Why is dilbit important enough to build expensive pipelines and set off vicious political battles?
