What To Do After You Think You've Done It All

From childhood to career, retirement and post-retirement, the arts have played a major role in the life of Jacqueline Dunckel Donoghue.  In this, our last session for the season, Jacqueline will share with you a part of her journey as she takes a light look at her life in the arts from making sure Tyrone Power is wearing pants he can sit down in, to how she got the job as the storyteller for Sunny Boy Cereal, to local productions for CBC Radio Wednesday Night, to acting in the first professional Theatre Calgary production before it was Theatre Calgary, on to playing a role in Calgary’s first dinner theatre and finally what she did after that and what she is doing now.  It promises to be a relaxed, laugh-filled time together.

Biography

Jacqueline Dunckel Donoghue

Jacqueline is a native Albertan, born in Claresholm.  She grew up in Camrose and finished high school at Crescent Heights in Calgary.  As unlikely as it seems now, she took her first year of university at Mount Royal College, majoring in petroleum engineering, but wisely shifted gears and graduated in Communications:  Journalism, Broadcasting and T.V. from Brigham Young University with a graduation practicum at Twentieth Century Fox in Hollywood.  She has diplomas in Speech Arts from the Toronto Conservatory and completed her education in Performance Speech through Trinity College, London, England.  Her career experience includes radio writing, announcing and acting, magazine editing, founding chair of the Dept. of Communicating and Performing Arts at Mount Royal College, as well as forming her own company coaching executives and political figures to make presentations and meet the media.
