Medical Tourism

With universal healthcare in Canada, the development of outbound Medical Tourism is years behind other countries.  This is a multi-billion dollar industry that has been around over a century worldwide.

However the aging population, cost and challenges of the healthcare system, the increasingly migratory nature of the population,  makes traveling for medical and dental options a viable and interesting option.  With more and more people considering Medical Tourism, it is important to learn how it really works and how to navigate the medical tourism process.

T Stoodley is a native Calgarian and a graduate from the University of Calgary, Haskayne School of Business.

She has spent  30 years managing small business around Calgary, in the areas of operations, customer service & general management.  This includes managing a chain of seven dental and medical clinics and overseeing the installation of Electronic Medical Records software into medical clinics, as part of a provincial government initiative.

Tanya Greffard brings 15 years in Business Development, Account Management and Sales coupled with 10+ years in Customer Service, traveling extensively to maintain and develop corporate relationships.

While Tanya travelled as a caregiver for a family member it allowed her to gain first-hand experience with the stress, fear and frustration associated with traveling out of country for medical care.  She understands the need to find the best and fastest option that fits within a set budget, when there is no suitable option at home.   She returned home knowing there had to be a better way to navigate the medical tourism system, a way to help reduce the uncertainty.  The idea of the company was born as of a result of a conversation around the possibilities of promoting a clinic in Canada.
