HW LINKages
Ruby and Dianne will share the inspiring work and stories of intergenerational mentorship and engagement fostered through LINKages
LINKages Society of Alberta has been meaningfully connecting isolated seniors and youth in Calgary for 25 years.
From a single school/care centre visitation program in 1994, the organization has grown to 15 long term intergenerational programs, community programs in all 4 quadrants of the city, and exploratory work into supporting seniors living with dementia.
This year, LINKages begins a 2 year pilot of the Music2LINK (M2L) program - incorporating intergenerational music-based programs to engage and improve quality of life for seniors living with dementia. Come out and learn more about this innovative and promising approach to care.
Presenter: Ruby Lecot, Executive Director and Dianne leong-Fortier, Board Member
