Marc Stevens, President and CEO of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, talks about his personal journey to classical music, orchestras and Calgary. Marc will give an overview of the Calgary Phil, where it’s at and where it’s going. Come with questions about everything you always wanted to know about orchestras but were afraid to ask!

About the Presenter:

Marc Stevens has been the President and CEO of the Calgary Philharmonic since September 2021.

He has more than 20 years of experience at the top of the international orchestral music world. As a Director on the Board of Orchestras Canada from 2015 to 2020, Marc led the creation of several strategic plans. He strives to champion gender parity, inclusion, and anti-racism. 

Previously, he spent 12 years at the London Symphony Orchestra working with many major artists. Significant projects included the London 2012 Olympic Games Ceremonies and Trafalgar Square concerts, and hundreds of recordings such as Star Wars and Harry Potter.
