The housing options available to seniors have grown significantly over the past few years. Choice is often positive, but it can also be overwhelming. This interest group will explore the housing options for seniors, and their pros and cons.
The sessions will first explore the supports available in Calgary to enable seniors to age in place, the alternatives available when living independently is no longer viable, and the services available to support this transition.
The group will be conducted as a peer learning group. Individual participants or small teams (2-3) will research a topic from the list generated at the first meeting, present the findings to the group, and facilitate discussion.
