Indigenous Awareness

The aim of the Indigenous Awareness Group is “kwayeskastasowin (Cree) or to “set things right.” We seek to build knowledge, awareness and understanding of Indigenous histories and world views and critically examine the implications of unconscious bias. We take responsibility for our part in co-creating “wahkohtowin,” a different and more “interconnected” future by becoming better relatives to the Land and to First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples, so all may flourish.

In-person: Oct 2, Nov 6, Dec 4, 2023; Feb 5, Mar 4, Apr 1, May 6, Jun 3, 2024

On Zoom: Sept 18, Oct 16, Nov 20, Dec 18, 2023; Jan 15, Feb 19, Mar 18, Apr 15, May 20, 2024
