Shoes and Stories of Immigrant and Refugee Women

In 2010 Katherine Govier started a writing and public speaking workshop for immigrant and refugee women. By 2022 the Shoe Project has grown to have chapters in 8 Canadian cities and to have seen 350 women write and perform their ‘immigrant stories’.

Speakers: Katherine Govier and Sheila Qayumi

Doors will open at 1 pm. Come early so that you can visit with your friends, meet other CALL members, and assist with the café setup.

Presentation starts at 2:00 PM

Masks are encouraged, but not required.
