MEDIEVAL HISTORY - WHAT A WOMAN!
(Repeat of October 2019)

Please note this is a repeat of the interest group offered in October 2019. Also, the format has been changed to two afternoons. The sessions will examine the lives of four influential women, each of whom was the mother of a king of England. Taking a life and times approach, the women to be discussed are – Empress Matilda [1102-1167], Eleanor of Aquitaine [1122-1204], Catherine of Valois [1401-1437], and Margaret Beaufort [1443-1509]. Please also note, that while based on research and current knowledge, this interest group does not take itself too seriously!
