Medicine Wheel Teaching on Nose Hill with Blackfoot Elder Randy Bottle of Kainai Nation. RAIN OR SHINE, a journey to acknowledge the land and culture of the land. The Medicine Wheel was erected in 2015 for all Calgarians and Elder Randy will share his knowledge of the cultural and historical significance of the site.
MEET: Nose Hill, 14th Street NW parking lot (east side of park, upper lot) the next left turn lane North of the Winter Club (Not 64th Ave, not Berkley Gate, not Winter Club)
NOTE: This event requires walking uphill to the Medicine Wheel and remaining outside for the duration of the teaching. It is not wheelchair accessible. Bring a small cushion or blanket to sit on, women wear long skirt or cover legs with blanket while in the ceremony, respecting traditional protocol.
