Art Jewellery: The Art and The Practice
with Sarabeth Carnat
Jewellery artist Sarabeth Carnat will talk about her work which addresses the elements of beauty, color, comfort, ritual, and relationships. She will talk about her growth and development as an artist and about her role as an educator during her thirty year career at the Alberta College of Art and Design.
Sarabeth will share images of her work which will provide insight into her one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces, metal painting, Judaica, and anodized aluminum objects. She will discuss the vitality of the program at ACAD, relate her current focus: the “Ranch Project” at the Calgary Stampede and share information about the Alberta Craft Council.
After the talk, Sarabeth will tour interested participants around the Alberta Craft Council gallery located on the main floor of cSpace.
