Northern India--Mughals, mammals and modern life. Join presenter Andrew Hart as he investigates the history, natural history and modern life of the Golden Triangle and Varanasi regions of Northern India. India has some of the most amazing diversities of culture, religion, habitat, and and prosperity in the world. The presentation will include a brief history of the first six Mughal Emperors (Babur to Aurangzeb) told in relation to the magnificent monuments, including the Taj Mahal, that most tourists visit. Varanasi is the holiest of the seven sacred cities in the Hindu religion. Situated on the Ganges it is famous for the cremations that take place daily along the Ghats adjoining the river.
