Oaxaca Mexico: The Day of the Dead **CANCELLED DUE TO COVID 19**
Wednesday, March 18, 2020
“To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die.”
The Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos in Spanish) is celebrated throughout Mexico. It is a multi-day holiday where family remember friends and family members who have died. In Mexican culture, death is viewed as a natural part of the human cycle. They view it as a day of celebration as loved ones awake and celebrate with them. Wikipedia
Owen Tobert and Paul Fesko will talk about their week in Oaxaca Mexico during this holiday last November. They will recount their experiences during the week in Oaxaca along with some of the side tours to historical Zapotec archaeological sites and visits with local artisans.
