Treks and Travels Iran and Georgia

On September 19, I returned from five weeks travelling in Georgia and Iran.  In Georgia I was on my own, travelling about on public transport to various locations in the Caucasus Mountains.  In Iran I joined my daughter Lara and twelve others for a two week commercial excursion; one week of mountain trekking and a second week of cultural experiences. I found much to enjoy in each of these countries.  My presentation will include  pictures and stories of my travels within these two adjoining, but otherwise markedly different countries.

Richard King is one of the coordinators of, and a frequent contributor to the Treks and Travels program of CALL. He was a teacher and administrator with the Calgary Board of Education for thirty-four years. He lives in Calgary with his wife of 53 years, in close proximity to his two daughters, son in law, and three grandchildren. Since his retirement 22 years ago, Richard has indulged his love for travel and adventure with trips to over sixty countries.
