    Hello CALL Friends,

The Leighton Art Centre has a festival that you might enjoy. There are tents filled with art. There musicians. On Sunday a steel band is playing, can't remember who is there on Saturday. There are also food trucks, fun crowds, and 80 acres to wander over. Bring your cameras.

Here are a few words about my participation:

There are 10 temporal artworks, documented and printed on archival paper. They are whimsical images that invite inquiry about our role in the landscape. Courtesy of Abbozzo Gallery, Toronto.

This annual event, with 68 artists, is known as the Clothesline Festival. It supports the art education of about 8000 school children as they explore the connections between creativity and the natural world.

Below are images a couple of the photographic sketches that will be at the LAC until June 2. They are 8x8 inches, matted, $95 each. There are others at $125-$250. There is also a large landscape, oil on canvas 36x54 inches at the top of the stairs. It is the last of a series of similar large paintings that went into various corporate collections through Gibson Fine Art, Calgary.

Btw..Did you hear that I have been nominated for the Lt Gov Distinguished Artist of Alberta Award? This news made me catch my breath....those fine stewards of the land in southern Alberta came up with a thoughtful way to say thank you for a project that I created about protection of the watershed.

I will be there on Sunday afternoon at the info booth.Hope to see you,

    aka bamos
