Climate Change: Where Do We Go Next?

Are you concerned about climate change, but want specifics on how it affects your day-to-day life and what you can do to make a difference?

This is your chance to get the scientific facts, explore the many implications of climate change, and discuss prevention, mitigation and adaptation strategies.

Guest subject-experts will inform and lead discussions.

Discussion topics can include:

  •  Climate change implications for Calgary
  •  Climate change and health
  •  Climate change and food
  •  Renewable energy prospects
  •  How to productively talk about climate change
What:Eight weekly meetings, May 6 to June 24
When:Mondays, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Dates:May 6, 13, 20, 27, June 3, 10, 17, 24
Where: Rosedale Community Centre, Beugin Hall, 2nd Floor.                                                            
Facilitator:Tom Kerwin

Tom has co-facilitated a previous CALL climate change group and was an organizer of CALL's 2019 Climate Change Conference. He has a Masters in Environmental Studies and spent much of his 30-year career in climate change-related areas.

Minimum: 15. Maximum: 25. Drop-in members welcome.
