Climate Change: Where Do We Go Next? Part Two

Are you concerned about climate change, but want specifics on how it affects your day-to-day life and what you can do to make a difference?

We are now offering a second, seven-week series to continue learning the scientific facts, exploring the many implications, and discussing prevention, mitigation and adaptation strategies of climate change. 

Guest subject-experts will inform and lead discussions on topics such as:

  •  How to talk to your federal election candidates about climate change
  • The City of Calgary's climate change plan
  • Leading-edge advances in reducing the oilsands' carbon footprint
  • The impact of climate change on wildlife habitat and extinctions
  • How late is too late: Is there still time to turn it around?
 What:  Seven weekly meeting, September 16 to November 25, 2019
 When:  Mondays, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
 Dates: Sept. 16, 23, 30; Oct. 7, 28: Nov. 18, 25
 Where: Rosedale Community Centre, 2nd Floor, Beugin Hall
 Facilitator: Tom Kerwin

Tom has co-facilitated a previous CALL climate change group and was an organizer of CALL's 2019 Climate Change Conference. He has a Masters in Environmental Studies and spent much of his 30-year career in climate change-related areas.

Minimum: 15. Maximum: 25. Drop-in members welcome.
