A Different Climate Change Discussion: Are We Deranged?

Following CALL’s Climate Change Conference on March 30, members are invited to join a four-week discussion group based on the book

The Great Derangement: Climate Change and the Unthinkable, by internationally acclaimed writer Amitav Ghosh.

Ghosh examines the failure of our history, literature and politics to grasp the enormity of global warming, and suggests that our collective inability to do so is a “great derangement”.

He offers a broad and insightful discussion that will appeal to a wide range of readers, from scientists to poets.
