A Bird's Eye View

Canadian author Elinor Florence presented a very personal and fascinating look at the inspiration behind her bestselling Second World War novel, Bird’s Eye View – the only novel ever written featuring a Canadian woman in uniform as the main character. Rose is a Saskatchewan farm girl who joins the Royal Canadian Air Force after her town becomes a British Commonwealth Air Training base. She travels to England where she works as an aerial photographic interpreter, spying on the enemy from the sky.
