      Dr. Thierry Giasson is an Associate Professor in the Information
      and Communication Department at Université Laval, Quebec City.
      He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Montreal.
      Dr. Giasson’s work currently focuses on new forms of political
      communication on the Internet and political participation and civic
      engagement in Quebec and Canada.

      Debbie Bell, CEO and President of HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) Canada, will explore the alarmingly high prevalence of Canadian mothers who live in poverty and its impact on society. The presentation will include a discussion the HIPPY program and its’ breakthrough methodology that is proven to build bridges to the larger community.
