We want to invite you to be part of a group interested in writing stories based on our life experiences. We will share and discuss approaches to writing our memories.
Registrants will be advised each week by e-mail of that week’s choice of film from current commercial offerings. After viewing the film on their own, the group will meet and analyze how the film presents various cultural grammars associated with its genre and its nationality.
Participants in this relaxed and friendly group will have the opportunity to explore Canadian musical performers, songwriters, producers, managers, promoters and music venues.
Relaxing, Rewarding and Fun!. This group welcomes CALL members interested in being creative with needles – knitting, crochet, embroidery of all sorts – and in pursuing their craft in the company of others.
Participants will look at a contemporary memoir or two; discuss structure, voice, openings and closings, narrative arc and narrative tension, the trustworthy narrator, betrayal, memories and whatever other subjects come up including the boundaries of fiction and nonfiction.
